The publishing house began in 1998, when Ezequiel Díaz Ortiz, an Argentine designer and editor, created CMYK, a communication studio based in Buenos Aires specializing in cultural production and the design of art books and exhibitions. Since then, Díaz Ortiz and his team have built a long career designing for renowned visual artists, photographers, museums and institutions.
Among his best publications are the catalogs of the art exhibition “A Coleção Costantini no MAM” in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil, which portray some of the most important Latin American art pieces from the Eduardo Costantini collection.

In 2014, he was in charge of the edition of Letras Argentinas en Francia / Lettres Françaises en Argentine, a book that represented Argentina, the guest of honor of “Le Salon du Livre de Paris”. At that time, Ezequiel Díaz Ortiz was called to work in the graphic design and communication of cultural events for the Argentine Embassy in London, such as the "Open House - Textile Art of Argentina" and the photography book by Marcos Zimmerman, a tribute to the first Welsh settlement in Argentina, presented at the Palace of Westminster in 2015.
Por entonces, Ezequiel Díaz Ortiz fue convocado a trabajar en el diseño gráfico y la comunicación de eventos culturales para la Embajada Argentina en Londres, como el “Open House – Textile Art of Argentina” y el libro de fotografía de Marcos Zimmerman, homenaje al primer asentamiento galés en la Argentina, presentado en el Palacio de Westminster en 2015.

The editorial team has worked on various editions of books with the prestigious Argentine photographers Facundo de Zuviría and Sara Facio. Together with Sara, Ezequiel designed the book Annemarie Heinrich, a tribute to Facio's teacher and mentor.

In 2018, Díaz Ortiz was editorial director and designer of the book Kavanagh Buenos Aires, the first monographic book published on this emblematic building in the city. Other titles by prominent artists are part of the editorial catalogue, such as the books by Luis Gowland Moreno, Norma Bessouet and Gabriela Aberastury.

lso in 2021, the book The Story Behind Recruits, by Zelmira Frers, printed in Europe and presented in Saint-Tropez and Buenos Aires.

In 2023, CMYK Buenos Aires becomes Diaz Ortiz Ediciones, with an excellent work team and a renewed publication calendar. The work of Díaz Ortiz Ediciones has been widely recognized in Argentina, Brazil, the United States of America, France and the United Kingdom.
